The Israeli army said that it had monitored the launch of 35 rockets from Lebanon towards the Western Galilee in northern Israel and indicated that it had launched air strikes on dozens of targets belonging to ‘Hezbollah’ in Lebanon.
The army added in a statement on Monday afternoon via the ‘X’ platform: ‘Following the sirens that sounded in the Western Galilee region between 15:42 and 16:22 (+3 GMT), about 35 rockets were detected launched from Lebanon, Some of which were intercepted, and falling operations were also monitored in the area.’
In turn, the Hebrew newspaper “Maariv” said that firefighting crews are working to extinguish several fires that broke out in the settlements of “Gesher Haziv”, “Neve Ziv” and “Kabri” in the Western Galilee, as a result of falling missiles From Lebanon, without injuries.
The Israeli army said in its statement: ‘Israeli Air Force drones and fighter jets, under the direction of the Northern Command, attacked dozens of Hezbollah targets throughout Lebanon.’
It indicated
that the targets included “command headquarters, ammunition depots and Hezbollah cells, missile launch pads, infrastructure and military buildings,” according to its claim.
