Tuesday, i media Sudanese cited the leaders of the Bashir regime, held in Kober prison, who said in a joint statement that he made the decision to protect himself after ‘leaving’ prison. The joint statement, read by Ahmed Haroun, former governor of North Kordofan state and former Bashir regime official, added that they are ‘ready to surrender to judicial authorities when requested’. Haroun explained that they’ve ‘moved in another place’ outside the prison, noting that all the inmates ‘came out’ last Sunday. On Sunday, the rapid support forces accused army leaders of carrying out a mandatory evacuation of all prisoners from Kober prison, including the leaders of the Bashir regime.
