Release of 15 Egyptians after they were kidnapped by an armed group.

The Information and Public Investigations Department of the Ajdabiya Security Directorate released 15 Egyptians after raiding a house where they were detained by an armed group.

The Security Directorate said in a statement that an armed group is professional in kidnapping workers and possesses weapons and narcotics that were seized inside its place.

The statement added that four members of the armed group were arrested and referred to authorities after preliminary investigations.

In a video published by the Directorate, one of the kidnapped said that the armed group demanded a ransom of 20,000 Libyan dinars in exchange for their release.

According to the Directorate’s statement, the kidnapped group carried proper documents and procedures, and they came from Egypt legally through Benina Airport.
