As we are set to head into a new year, we look back on 2022 with pictures from another amazing 12 months of FA competitions.
From one of the world’s biggest clubs Liverpool winning the Emirates FA Cup to United Counties side Newport Pagnell Town claiming their first FA Vase, there have been countless moments to celebrate across the football pyramid.
They included the hugely successful FA Disability Cup, which had six impairment-specific cup finals across two days, with all of them broadcasted live on BT Sport.

6. Jordan Henderson has won almost everything club football has to offer but it took until just before his 32nd birthday for him to lift the Emirates FA Cup for the first time and you can see what it means to the England midfielder in this picture
7. Liverpool may have lost the Champions League final less than 24 hours earlier, but the players were given a heroes reception when they had a parade after their FA Cup and League Cup double last season

19. This year it was to be Northern Thunder who claimed the Powerchair title after defeating West Bromwich Albion on penalty kicks

If someone told you a few years ago that stars Ryan Reynolds, Rob McElhenney, Blake Lively, Will Ferrell, Kit Harington and David Beckham would all be at the 2022 FA Trophy Final then you would never have believed them. But Reynolds’ and McElhenney’s takeover of Wrexham meant they were at Wembley Stadium in May but the final was to end in disappointment for the Hollywood stars as Bromley edged past the Welsh side
21. Earlier in the day, Newport Pagnell Town had beaten Littlehampton Town 3-0 in the FA Vase Final, with Kieran Barnes (pictured) and Ben Shepherd grabbing the goals
22. There are a host of other FA competitions running each year, including the FA Sunday Cup, FA Community Shield and National Futsal Series. In the FA Youth Cup, it was one of the most recognisable names in the world who would be on the trophy after Manchester United beat Nottingham Forest in the final
