Sharjah Ruler Approves Organisational Structure for Municipal Affairs


Sharjah: His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, has issued an Emiri Decree formalising the approval of the general organisational structure for the Department of Municipal Affairs. The decree outlines significant changes to enhance the department’s operational framework.



According to Emirates News Agency, the decree mandates that the Executive Council is responsible for issuing subsequent resolutions related to the decree. These resolutions will include the comprehensive organisational structure of the Department of Municipal Affairs. Additionally, the resolutions will address the approval of job descriptions that align with the responsibilities of the organisational units within the department, ensuring they are in accordance with their designated jurisdictions.



Furthermore, the decree provides for the establishment, amalgamation, or dissolution of any organisational units within the departments specified in the approved general organisational structure. This move aims to streamline operations and improve the efficiency of municipal governance in Sharjah.
