The fourth edition of the UCI Cycling Esports World Championships, organised by the International Cycling Union (UCI), saw an exciting new format for the final, held on Saturday, 26th October in Abu Dhabi, with the rainbow jerseys won by Mary Kate McCarthy (NZL) and Jason Osborne (GER).
Jason Osborne of Germany won the 2024 UCI Cycling Esports World Championship by defeating Lionel Vujasin of Belgium a high-power performance in the 22-rider live final held in Abu Dhabi.
Osborne totalled 177 points with his aggressive strategy. Vujasin finished with 174 points, with Kasper Borremans of Finland taking the bronze medal with 164 points. 2023 world champion Bjorn Andreassen of Denmark was fourth with 154 points. The USA’s Hayden Pucker finished fifth, with 145 points
In the women’s competition, Mary Kate McCarthy secured the fastest time (18.494 seconds) and claimed the 20 points for the overall classification.
