4.9-Magnitude Earthquake Strikes Northern Coast of Venezuela

Abu dhabi: A new earthquake struck off the northern coast of Venezuela, occurring days after twin quakes devastated the region, flattening buildings and tragically resulting in the deaths of nearly 1,000 people.

According to Emirates News Agency, the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC) reported that the recent earthquake measured 4.9 in magnitude. This latest seismic event has added to the challenges facing the region as residents and authorities continue efforts to recover from the earlier, more destructive quakes.
