Abu Dhabi Chamber Expands Business Network Through Agreements with Greek Institutions

Athens:The Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ADCCI) has established stronger ties with Greece by signing two significant agreements with Enterprise Greece and the Athens Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI). These agreements aim to enhance business collaborations and open up new avenues for trade and investment between the UAE and Greece.

According to Wam, the agreements were signed during the UAE-Greece Business Forum in Athens. Dr. Ali bin Harmal Al Dhaheri, First Vice Chairman of Abu Dhabi Chamber, signed on behalf of ADCCI, with Dimitris Skalkos, Chairman of Enterprise Greece, and Ioannis Bratakos, President of ACCI, representing their respective organizations.

These partnerships are designed to connect businesses in Abu Dhabi with a network of over 140,000 Greek companies. They are expected to facilitate business meetings, trade and investment delegations, and collaborations in various sectors, including digital infrastructure and hospitality. The agreements reflect a growing economic relationship, with bilateral non-oil trade reaching approximately US$606 million in 2025, and significant investments announced in recent years.

Emphasizing the importance of these agreements, Dr. Al Dhaheri highlighted the opportunities they present for businesses, particularly small and medium-sized enterprises, to access new markets and partners. The agreements will enable information exchange on trade and investment opportunities and support introductions to relevant authorities and potential partners.

Dimitris Skalkos of Enterprise Greece stressed the significance of turning the existing investment momentum into tangible business opportunities. Meanwhile, Ioannis Bratakos of ACCI emphasized the strategic economic partnership between the UAE and Greece and the importance of supporting Greek businesses in accessing international markets and investment capital.

These agreements signify ADCCI's commitment to building institutional connections that enhance the competitiveness of Abu Dhabi's private sector on an international scale.
