Abu dhabi: AD Ports Group (ADX: ADPORTS) today announced the launch of its AI-driven business intelligence headquarters, IHQ, a comprehensive platform employing thousands of digital workers to embed AI across 20 global workstreams.
According to Emirates News Agency, this initiative aligns with the UAE's National Strategy for Artificial Intelligence, aiming to establish the nation as a global AI leader by 2031. The launch highlights two decades of continuous investment by AD Ports Group in digital innovation.
Launched in the presence of Dr. Mohamed Al Kuwaiti, Head of the Cybersecurity Council for the UAE Government, at the Group's Digital District-Zayed Port, the platform is set to accelerate the Group's digital transformation by systematically leveraging AI efficiencies. The approach emphasizes security, transparency, and the responsible use of artificial intelligence.
The launch of IHQ is expected to progressively enhance the speed, efficiency, and customer-centric nature of AD Ports Group's service offerings across its portfolio, which includes Ports, Economic Cities and Free Zones, Maritime and Shipping, Logistics, and Digital Clusters. Captain Mohamed Juma Al Shamisi, Managing Director and Group CEO of AD Ports Group, emphasized the company's growth over the past 20 years from a local ports operator to a global trade enabler, attributing this evolution to continuous investment in a solid digital foundation.
Mohamed Jamal-Eddine, Group Chief Digital and Information Officer, stated that IHQ will operationalize AI at an enterprise scale. Each workstream selected for AI transformation is strategically chosen to enhance speed, accuracy, and decision quality. This focus will integrate AI capabilities deeply into the enterprise workstreams, aiming to improve efficiency, decision making, and customer service.
At launch, IHQ features several transformed workflow demonstrations, including port and berth optimization, vessel arrival orchestration, software development, and talent acquisition. Over the coming months, IHQ will enable systematic AI augmentation across AD Ports Group's 20 workstreams, significantly expanding the Group's operational capacity.
AD Ports Group is a recognized leader in AI implementation. In 2025, it was awarded a Guinness World Record for deploying the most AI agents in a single logistics facility, and published a blueprint detailing how AI-powered agents are transforming its operations, underscoring its commitment to AI as a key component of future workforce development.
