Abu dhabi: Dr Ali bin Tamim, Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Arabic Language Centre (ALC), has highlighted the transformative impact of artificial intelligence (AI) on narrative storytelling and visual content creation, emphasizing a new hybrid discourse between humans and machines.
According to Emirates News Agency, Dr Ali bin Tamim made these remarks ahead of the Congress of Arabic and Creative Industries 2025. He noted significant shifts in audience roles due to the AI boom, as audiences now actively participate in shaping the content they engage with. Bin Tamim cited the flourishing digital media landscape, with over 40% of content creators in publishing and journalism utilizing AI tools for content production.
The Congress of Arabic and Creative Industries 2025, organized by the Abu Dhabi Arabic Language Centre, will take place from 14th to 15th September at Etihad Arena, Yas Island, Abu Dhabi, under the theme “Arabic Creativity Reimagined: Innovation in Storytelling and Audience Engagement.” The event aims to consolidate the Arabic language’s role in promoting constructive dialogue between civilizations and enrich the global creative industries with Arab creativity.
Dr Ali bin Tamim emphasized the importance of international partnerships in enhancing the global presence of the Arabic language within creative industries. He highlighted the event’s role in fostering dialogue with influential global companies like TikTok, Snap, Google, and Amazon Web Services, aiming to elevate Arab creative industries on the global stage.
He described the Congress as a leading knowledge platform providing insights and practical recommendations to strengthen the economic value of creative industries and reinforce the Arab cultural presence globally. The event also seeks to offer young talent opportunities for expertise development and connections with leading creative minds.
The event’s program includes panel discussions and innovative dialogues on topics such as personal storytelling in the AI era, authenticity in the face of technological change, women’s roles in reshaping narratives, and the growth potential of the Arabic audiobook market amid the global audiobook boom.
