Arab League Foreign Ministers Convene in Amman to Decide on Nabil Fahmy’s Appointment

Amman: The Council of the League of Arab States at the level of foreign ministers is set to hold a resumed session of its 165th ordinary meeting in Amman, Jordan, under the chairmanship of the Kingdom of Bahrain. The meeting will focus on several pressing Arab issues of shared interest.

According to Emirates News Agency, one of the primary topics on the agenda is the approval of the appointment of former Egyptian Foreign Minister Nabil Fahmy as Secretary-General of the League of Arab States. This appointment follows a mandate from Arab leaders.

Additionally, the foreign ministers will deliberate on the appointment of several heads of Arab League missions abroad. They will also work on coordinating Arab positions on various Arab, regional, and international issues.
