Abu dhabi: The Artificial Intelligence Office in the Government of the United Arab Emirates has initiated a strategic collaboration with Dell Technologies. This partnership aims to bolster cooperation and capitalize on advanced technological expertise to transform AI opportunities and ideas into innovative government applications.
According to Emirates News Agency, this collaboration aligns with the UAE's dedication to expanding innovation and implementing Agentic AI solutions to enhance government operations and services. It also aims to reinforce the UAE's leadership and global standing in the AI field. The UAE Government delegation engaged in discussions with Dell Technologies to explore avenues for cooperation and the exchange of expertise, aligning with the nation's AI priorities.
Dr. Abdulrahman Al Mahmoud, Director at the Artificial Intelligence Office in the Government of the UAE, emphasized the country's proactive stance on utilizing artificial intelligence to evolve government work models. This approach is rooted in the leadership's vision of building national capabilities and preparing government entities to adapt to rapid technological changes, thus creating more efficient operating models. Al Mahmoud highlighted the importance of collaborations with global tech companies to accelerate knowledge exchange, develop solutions that align with government priorities, and empower national talent to lead technological transformations driven by agentic AI.
Walid Yehia, Managing Director for the South Gulf region at Dell Technologies, acknowledged the UAE's clear and ambitious vision to spearhead the next phase of AI development. He noted that the real impact of these technologies lies in transforming ambitions and ideas into practical, scalable applications and solutions. The collaboration aims to develop practical solutions and expand their adoption, contributing to the creation of an advanced AI ecosystem that boosts the UAE's global competitiveness and sets new standards for government operations.
The partnership focuses on supporting the development of prototypes and solutions ready for implementation in AI. It also involves organizing specialized knowledge and practical sessions on agentic AI for government entities, enabling them to benefit from Dell Technologies' expertise in identifying opportunities and use cases where modern technologies can make a tangible impact.
Additionally, the cooperation allows participating entities to leverage Dell Technologies' expertise in designing and implementing AI strategies. This contributes to creating secure and flexible technology environments and enhancing returns on investments in advanced technologies.
During a visit, discussions centered on Dell's key priorities and strategies for adopting Agentic AI, including its integration across business operations. The delegation explored emerging technology opportunities to accelerate institutional transformation and enable more efficient and agile operating models. They were also introduced to the Dell AI Factory, an integrated ecosystem supporting the development, training, and deployment of AI models, including Agentic AI applications. This ecosystem facilitates the transition of AI solutions from experimentation to production, enabling efficient, secure, and scalable deployment.
The collaboration is part of a visit to the United States by a government delegation of over 50 chief AI officers from federal and local entities, along with government leaders. Organized by the Artificial Intelligence Office in cooperation with the Dubai Centre for Artificial Intelligence, the visit aims to review the latest global trends in Agentic AI and explore advanced models and practices at leading technology and academic institutions.
