These resolutions cover various aspects including academic governance, faculty recognition, budget planning, and strategic projects.
According to Emirates News Agency, the board's decisions mark a pivotal moment for AUS as it charts a course for future growth and transformation. H.H. Sheikha Bodour expressed gratitude towards the board members for their role in reinforcing a transparent and future-focused institution, noting the strengthened academic momentum and sound financial planning that positions AUS favorably for the future.

He highlighted the importance of disciplined implementation to ensure that each priority yields measurable benefits for students, faculty, partners, and the broader community.
One of the key initiatives approved by the board is the establishment of an AUS-owned K-12 school, operated by GEMS Education. This institution will follow an American curriculum, serving as a feeder school that fosters research and innovation, thus creating engagement opportunities between the school community and AUS faculty and students.

This AI-enabled community aims to integrate residential, commercial, and innovation-focused spaces, furthering AUS' influence on regional growth and sustainable value creation.
The board also expanded its membership by appointing six new members, including notable figures from various sectors. These appointments are expected to bring diverse expertise to the board, contributing to AUS' strategic goals.
Other approvals included rebranding the university's executive education division and endorsing faculty contract renewals and promotions. The board also agreed on the Fiscal Year 2026-2027 General Operating Budget and Research and Graduate Studies Budget, along with the audited financial statements for the Fiscal Year 2024-2025.
