Dubai: Deliveroo has announced its support for the Fathers' Endowment campaign, an initiative launched by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai. The campaign, which coincides with Ramadan, seeks to honor fathers in the UAE by creating a sustainable endowment fund aimed at providing treatment and healthcare to those in need.
According to Emirates News Agency, the Deliveroo app now features a dedicated page where customers can donate to the campaign. The app, available on Google Play, Apple's App Store, and Huawei's AppGallery, allows users to contribute amounts ranging from AED10 to AED500. This initiative aims to instill values of generosity, solidarity, and humanitarian connection on a global scale, while promoting the concept of charitable endowments and encouraging widespread community participation.
Taghrid Oraibi, Head of Communications at Deliveroo Middle East, emphasized that the campaign reflects the UAE's respect for fathers. The initiative enables individuals to contribute to an endowment fund as a lasting act of charity in their fathers' names, providing sustainable healthcare and improving lives in underserved communities worldwide. Oraibi stated, "Deliveroo's support for the Fathers' Endowment campaign reflects our commitment to UAE's humanitarian initiatives and our desire to contribute to the success of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives' Ramadan campaigns."
The campaign continues to welcome donations from institutions and individuals across multiple channels, including its website (Fathersfund.ae) and a dedicated toll-free call center (800 4999). Contributions can also be made via bank transfers to Emirates Islamic Bank and SMS donations through Etisalat by e and du users. Additionally, platforms like the DubaiNow app and Dubai's community contributions platform Jood (Jood.ae) are facilitating donations.
The Fathers' Endowment campaign aims to honor fathers while reinforcing values of compassion and solidarity. It seeks to strengthen the UAE's leadership in charitable work by establishing a sustainable endowment that ensures healthcare and empowerment for the less fortunate worldwide, thereby improving their lives.
