Iraq And Poland Discuss Enhancing Security And Economic Cooperation

The interim Chargé d’Affairs for Iraq in Warsaw, Miqdad Ayoub Al-Mandalawi, discussed on Wednesday with the Polish Undersecretary of the Ministry of the Interior, Bartosz Grodetzky, ways to enhance security and economic cooperation and exchange of information between Iraq and Poland.

A statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated, “During the meeting that took place in the Polish Ministry of the Interior building, Al-Mandalawi praised the role of Polish military advisors in helping Iraq in defeating the ISIS terrorist organization and establishing security in the country.”

The statement added, “Al-Mandalawi called on the Polish side to cooperate in the field of printing official documents, as it is one of the advanced countries in this field.”

Al-Mandalawi stressed “the necessity of exchanging official visits between officials of the two countries, to expand joint cooperation,” pointing out that “the Republics of Iraq and Poland have many things in common that are a cornerstone for building strong relations that achieve what the two friendly peoples aspire to.”

For his part, Polish Undersecretary of the Ministry of the Interior, Bartosz Grodetzky, welcomed “the ideas presented by Al-Mandalawi,” expressing “his country’s readiness to cooperate with Iraq at all levels.”
