Iraq participates in the third Arab forum for arms control


Baghdad: Iraq participated in the activities of the third Arab forum for arms control, disarmament and non-proliferation, organized by the Arab League in cooperation with the State of Qatar, which was held in Doha.

A statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that the participating delegation included the Permanent Representative of the Republic of Iraq to the United Nations Abbas Al-Fatlawi, the ChargĂ© d’Affairs of the Iraqi Embassy in Doha Ahmed Al-Naqqash, Brigadier Mansour Al-Saadoun representing the Ministry of Interior, and Counselor Ikhlas Jassim, the file officer at the Embassy.

According to the statement, the forum witnessed the attendance of representatives of Arab countries and international experts from regional and international organizations.

The meetings, according to the statement, reached the development and adoption of a treaty aimed at making the Middle East region free of nuclear weapons and other weapons of mass destruction.
