The Palestinian-Jordanian Business Forum signed Tuesday a cooperation agreement with the Tunisian Chamber of Commerce and Industry to enhance cooperation and trade exchange between their members, attract investments and exchange experiences.
The agreement was signed by President of the Palestinian-Jordanian Business Forum Nazmi Atmeh and President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Tunisia Mounir Moakher.
According to a statement by the forum, the agreement stipulates the coordination of joint meetings between the businessmen members of both parties, aiming at cooperation and encouraging trade exchange between them and finding joint business opportunities, in addition to exchanging economic information, investment laws, and instructions issued by the relevant official authorities, so as to encourage businessmen to invest, create a common investment environment and offer training programs.
Additionally, the agreement outlines the establishment and development of a virtual economic portal to increase the exposure of Tunisian products in the Jordanian market and Jordanian products in the Tunisian market and its extension to the African market.
Chargé d’Affairs of the Tunisian Ambassador Muhammad Ali Belhabib stressed the importance of networking between businessmen in Jordan and Tunisia, exchanging visits and experiences and establishing joint projects, in a way that enhances trade exchange between the two countries.
He pointed out that Tunisia has a trade agreement with the African Union, and the possibilities are open for import and export, announcing the organization of a Jordanian-Tunisian economic forum on the sidelines of the Tunisian-Jordanian Committee.
