Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Celebrates Sheikh Khalifa Excellence Award Winners

Abu dhabi: Under the patronage of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, H.H. Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council, honoured the winners of the 22nd Sheikh Khalifa Excellence Award (SKEA) at a ceremony held at the ADNEC Centre in Abu Dhabi. The event was organized by the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ADCCI) and attended by distinguished guests, including Sheikh Khalid bin Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Sheikh Khalifa bin Tahnoon bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, and Sheikha Shamma bint Sultan bin Khalifa Al Nahyan.

According to Emirates News Agency, this edition of the award emphasizes the importance of the private sector adopting best practices and employing data-driven techniques and advanced technologies to enhance operational efficiency and productivity. The SKEA aims to promote innovative business models aligned with Abu Dhabi's economic priorities and strategic direction, fostering a culture of excellence and innovation within the business sector.

H.H. Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed underscored the significance of the award in encouraging institutions to enhance their performance and adopt agile, sustainable business models. He highlighted the role of advanced technologies and artificial intelligence as crucial drivers of economic growth, emphasizing the need for private sector companies to leverage these technologies to remain competitive in the global marketplace.

Seven companies were recognized for their exceptional commitment to embedding global best practices and driving business excellence, contributing to greater innovation and productivity. These companies include VIAI Technologies, Specialised Rehabilitation Hospital, Kanoo Energy, Nakheel Hygienic Paper Manufacturing, Circa Biotech, Low Calories Restaurants, and Gulf Extrusion Automotive and Industries.

During the ceremony, Ahmed Jassim Al Zaabi, Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry, emphasized the importance of innovation and impactful achievements in driving economic and social development. He reaffirmed the commitment to supporting companies and institutions in addressing challenges and capitalizing on future opportunities, thus strengthening the economy's competitiveness and sustainable growth.

Dr. Yasir Al Naqbi, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Sheikh Khalifa Excellence Award, explained that the award focuses on creating sustainable value, solidifying its role as a national platform driving innovation and developing private sector practices.

The recognized companies have made significant contributions across various sectors. VIAI Technologies developed AI solutions for sports, enhancing performance analysis and injury reduction. The Specialised Rehabilitation Hospital provides integrated rehabilitation services, advancing Abu Dhabi as a healthcare leader. Kanoo Energy supports the energy sector with engineering solutions, while Nakheel Hygienic Paper Manufacturing expands Abu Dhabi's industrial capabilities. Circa Biotech contributes to environmental sustainability, Low Calories Restaurants promotes healthy eating, and Gulf Extrusion Automotive and Industries highlights Abu Dhabi's advanced industrial sector.
