Abu dhabi: The Authority of Social Contribution - Ma'an, the official channel for social contributions in Abu Dhabi, has partnered with the Zayed Authority for People of Determination to advance community support for People of Determination (PoD) and their families. This partnership aims to promote a culture of inclusion and integration across Abu Dhabi.
According to Emirates News Agency, the collaboration is part of Ma'an's broader efforts to drive social impact in the region by mobilizing social contributions and fostering cross-sector partnerships. The initiative seeks to create more inclusive and accessible opportunities for People of Determination, enhancing their quality of life and providing greater support to their families and caregivers.
The agreement, signed during the Abu Dhabi Excellence Award event organized by the Department of Community Development - Abu Dhabi (DCD), focuses on the 'PoD Care' project. This project is designed to support children with autism and adults with disabilities by offering access to essential services that improve their quality of life. It emphasizes early intervention and specialized education for children, along with tailored post-18 initiatives to foster independence, social inclusion, and life skills for adults.
This partnership underscores a shared commitment by both authorities to create an enabling and inclusive ecosystem that empowers People of Determination to thrive and actively participate in society. It highlights the effectiveness of collective action in generating meaningful, sustainable, and long-term social impact.
Abdullah Al Ameri, Director-General of Ma'an, stated, "This collaboration reflects Ma'an's role in uniting efforts and directing community contributions towards key social priorities in ways that deliver tangible and sustainable impact.
