New delhi: A magnitude 4.5 earthquake struck the northern Indian state of Haryana, as reported by the National Centre for Seismology in India. The seismic event occurred on Thursday, with its epicenter located 7 kilometers from the Jhajjar district, at a depth of 10 kilometers.
According to Emirates News Agency, residents in the Indian capital, New Delhi, and surrounding areas experienced the tremor. The National Centre for Seismology noted that there have been no reports of human casualties or material damage resulting from the earthquake.
