Dubai: His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, has approved the Board of Directors of Dubai Chambers, which oversees the Dubai Chamber of Commerce, the Dubai International Chamber, and the Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy. This move aims to enhance the Chambers’ contribution to economic development, business growth, international partnerships, and the digital economy’s expansion, reinforcing Dubai’s status as a global business hub.
According to Emirates News Agency, H.H. Sheikh Mohammed also sanctioned the Boards of Directors and Advisory Councils for the individual chambers under Dubai Chambers. These multidisciplinary boards, along with their advisory councils comprising international business figures, are set to bolster Dubai’s model as a global business center through effective partnerships with international companies, innovative businesses, and entrepreneurs.
Abdulla Al Ghurair has been appointed Honorary President of Dubai Chambers. The Board of Directors includes Sultan Al Mansoori as Chairman of the Board and Chairman of the Dubai Chamber of Commerce, Sultan bin Sulayem as Chairman of the Dubai International Chamber, and Omar Sultan AI Olama as Chairman of the Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy. Other board members include Helal Saeed Almarri, Ahmad Abdulla bin Byat, Omar Abdulla Al Futtaim, Shehab Gargash, among others.
The Dubai Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, led by Sultan Al Mansoori, consists of members like Omar Abdulla Alfuttaim, Faisal Juma Belhoul, and Dr. Amina Al Rustamani, among others. The Advisory Council features individuals such as Dr. Tariq Humaid Al Tayer and Abdulla Ahmed Al Moosa, providing strategic guidance and representing the business sectors’ interests.
For the Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy, Omar Sultan Al Olama serves as Chairman, with Ahmad Abdulla bin Byat as Vice Chairman, and a notable lineup of members including Hamad Obaid Almansoori, Fahad Abdulaziz Albannai, and Mona Haider Ataya. The Advisory Board includes prominent figures like Ryan Mahoney and Pavel Durov.
Sultan bin Sulayem chairs the Dubai International Chamber Board, with Helal Saeed Almarri as Vice Chairman. The board includes members such as Dr. Habib Almulla and Timothy Clark. The Advisory Council features industry leaders like Paul Griffiths and Mohammad A Alshaya.
The advisory councils play a crucial role in supporting the chambers by providing expert advice and ensuring the business sectors’ needs are prioritized in strategic decisions. They propose solutions to challenges and contribute to the chambers’ strategic direction.
In 2021, the restructuring of the Dubai Chamber of Commerce led to the establishment of three distinct chambers under Dubai Chambers, aligning with leadership’s vision to meet future growth demands and strengthen Dubai’s position in global trade.
