Fujairah: Sheikh Saleh bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Chairman of the Department of Industry and Economy in Fujairah, received a delegation from the Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP), led by Dr. Amin Hussein Al Amiri, Assistant Undersecretary for the Health Regulation Sector, during a field visit to Al Sharq Hospital in Dibba, Fujairah. The visit was also attended by Dr. Mahmoud Elrefaey, Chief Operating Officer of Al Sharq Healthcare Group.
According to Emirates News Agency, the visit is part of the Ministry's efforts to enhance healthcare facility readiness, improve the quality of services, and sustain the national healthcare system in line with national and international standards. This initiative supports the UAE's vision of promoting an integrated healthcare model to improve community wellbeing and quality of life.
During the visit, the delegation assessed the hospital's operational readiness and plans for service continuity. They evaluated the institution's capabilities and infrastructure that support efficient high-quality healthcare delivery. Additionally, they were briefed on the hospital's development initiatives and coordination mechanisms that enhance collaboration between medical and administrative teams, improve response times, patient experience, and service quality.
The programme included a meeting with the hospital's management and specialists, focusing on opportunities to develop healthcare services and improve operational efficiency. Discussions also addressed advancing organ and human tissue donation and transplantation services, aiming to expand access to these crucial services and promote a culture of humanitarian giving.
Dr. Amin Hussein Al Amiri emphasized the Ministry's commitment to conducting field visits across all emirates to promote institutional excellence, strengthen healthcare readiness, and share expertise. These visits are vital for advancing healthcare services and ensuring efficiency and sustainability.
