Abu dhabi: Moro Hub, a subsidiary of Digital DEWA, the digital arm of Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (PJSC), has awarded Dubai Customs with a Green Certificate in recognition of its adoption of Moro Hub’s Green Cloud services to support its IT operations.
According to Emirates News Agency, the award was officially presented by Marwan Bin Haidar, Vice Chairman and Group CEO of Digital DEWA, to Ateeq AlMheiri, Executive Director of Custom Development Division in Dubai Customs. Marwan Bin Haidar stated that the award acknowledges Dubai Customs’ proactive steps in embracing Moro Hub’s Green Cloud solutions. He noted that their commitment showcases how government entities can drive sustainability while maintaining operational excellence. This milestone sets an example for the region and reflects Dubai’s leadership in building a low-carbon digital economy.
Dubai Customs has migrated a significant part of its IT workloads to Moro Hub’s Green Cloud. By utilizing these services, Dubai Customs is modernizing its IT infrastructure with secure, scalable, and reliable cloud solutions, while also reducing its carbon footprint substantially.
Ateeq AlMheiri, Executive Director of Custom Development Division in Dubai Customs, emphasized that sustainability is a key part of their strategy. By shifting IT workloads to Moro Hub’s Green Cloud, they are aligning with Dubai’s sustainability agenda and enhancing the efficiency and security of their digital operations. He expressed honor in receiving the Green Certificate, which reaffirms their commitment to innovation and environmental responsibility.
The Green Certificate is part of Moro Hub’s sustainability recognition program, which promotes the integration of eco-friendly digital infrastructure into business operations.
