According to Emirates News Agency, oil prices declined following an agreement by European leaders to release diesel from their reserves. This decision came in response to a request from US President Donald Trump, aiming to lower fuel prices and decrease reliance on US fuel imports.
Brent crude futures saw a slight decrease of 6 cents, settling at $102.25 per barrel, reflecting a 0.06 percent drop. Meanwhile, US West Texas Intermediate (WTI) experienced a more significant decline, falling by $1.76, or 1.90 percent, to $91.11 per barrel.
Over the week, Brent crude recorded a modest gain of 0.11 percent, whereas WTI experienced a decline of 1.6 percent.
