Oil Prices Drop as US Aims to Free Stranded Ships in Strait of Hormuz


Abu dhabi: Oil prices eased on Monday after US President Donald Trump said the United States would begin an effort to free up ships stranded in the Strait of Hormuz.



According to Emirates News Agency, Brent crude futures dropped by $1.83, or 1.69%, to record $106.34 per barrel by 22:03 GMT. West Texas Intermediate crude also declined to $100.22 per barrel, down $1.72 or 1.69%.
