Gaza: Over 1,370 Palestinians have been killed while attempting to secure food since 27 May, as reported by the UN human rights office in Palestine (OHCHR). Among these fatalities, 859 occurred near the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF) sites, and 514 were along the routes of food convoys.
According to Emirates News Agency, despite Israel’s announcement on 27 July of daily military pauses in western Gaza ‘to improve humanitarian responses,’ attacks by Israeli forces continued along food convoy routes and near GHF aid sites. The OHCHR expressed concern in a press release issued on Friday, stating that there was no information indicating that the Palestinians killed were directly involved in hostilities or posed any threat to Israeli security forces or others.
The OHCHR emphasized that each person killed or injured had been desperately struggling for survival, not only for themselves but also for their families and dependents. The ongoing violence has raised significant concerns about the safety and well-bei
ng of civilians in the region.
