Palestinian Affairs Department chief meets UNRWA official

Director General of the Department of Palestinian Affairs Rafiq Kharfan and Director of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) in Jordan Olaf Baker discussed Tuesday several issues, most notably education and the affairs of persons with disabilities.

The two officials spoke about the most prominent obstacles facing UNRWA's work in the camps, in order to reach solutions that would enable it to carry out its duty to the fullest.

Kharfan pointed to a meeting he held with the Minister of Education recently, in which he requested that textbooks for UNRWA schools be provided.

He underscored the government's continued support for UNRWA to serve the Palestinian refugees in the Kingdom and to contribute to overcoming all the obstacles it faces.
