PM reviews with Schneider Electric initiative to create 1,000 smart homes


Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly has discussed initiative proposed by French company Schneider Electric to create 1,000 smart homes.

This came during a meeting held onTuesday6/2/2024 at the government headquarters in the New Administrative Capital to review the initiative proposed by the company, regarding the establishment of a group of 1,000 homes equipped with smart solutions.

Madbouly said the government is interested in this experience and is keen to study it and expand the construction of such buildings, while emphasizing the need for the cost of these buildings to be affordable.

He also discussed provision of the technical systems for buildings within the Suez Canal Economic Zone.

Meanwhile, President of Schneider Electric for Northeast Africa and the Arab Levant Sebastian Reyes said the company has already manufactured a group of components in its existing factory in Badr Industrial City, and that it is studying the possibility of local manufacturing of a number of components for smart home technol
ogies in the Suez Canal Economic Zone.
