Qatar reports 307 recoveries from Coronavirus

DOHA, The Qatari Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) reported today 125 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 during the past 24 hours, and recorded 307 recoveries from the virus, bringing the total number of cases recovered in Qatar to 356,884.

In a statement, the MoPH said that 116 of the new confirmed cases are among community and 09 among travelers, the Qatar News Agency said.

The MoPH reported 6,472,465 COVID-19 vaccine doses have been administered since the start of the vaccination program, adding that 10748 COVID-19 vaccine doses have been administered in the past 24 hours. The ministry added that 1,339,573 COVID-19 booster vaccine doses have been administered to date, explaining that 88.2 percent of the total population are now fully vaccinated with two doses.

In a statement, MoPH noted that there is clear evidence of the protective effects of the vaccines and the majority of patients being admitted to ICU with COVID-19 are either unvaccinated or had their second dose more than 6 months ago and have not received a booster dose.
