Ras al khaimah: H.H. Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, engaged in discussions with ASEAN ambassadors and diplomatic representatives at his palace in Saqr bin Mohammed City today. The focus of the meeting was on expanding economic, trade, and investment cooperation to foster mutual interests between Ras Al Khaimah and ASEAN nations.
According to Emirates News Agency, the delegation included representatives from Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Myanmar, Vietnam, Thailand, Timor-Leste, and Brunei Darussalam. H.H. Sheikh Saud emphasized the importance of deepening ties with ASEAN countries, highlighting opportunities in various sectors and acknowledging the evolving partnership between the UAE and ASEAN.
Senior government officials from Ras Al Khaimah presented an economic briefing to the delegation, showcasing the emirate's competitive advantages. The session detailed Ras Al Khaimah's infrastructure, business-friendly environment, and strategic initiatives aimed at fostering growth and attracting international investment.
The briefing also covered the emirate's developmental progress, supported by modern legislation and a vision to strengthen its position as a global hub for business, tourism, and quality of life. The diplomats expressed their appreciation for the reception and praised the comprehensive development in the UAE and Ras Al Khaimah.
