Sanadak and World Bank Group Forge Partnership to Enhance Dispute Resolution in UAE

Abu dhabi: Sanadak, the Ombudsman Unit for the United Arab Emirates, has reaffirmed the importance of its partnership with the World Bank Group, focused on enhancing its services and strengthening its operational efficiency in line with international best practices.

According to Emirates News Agency, this collaboration is part of an agreement between the Central Bank of the UAE and the World Bank Group, announced on 12th June 2026. The World Bank Group will assist Sanadak by providing a comprehensive review of its current operations to evaluate the banking and insurance dispute resolution framework, ensuring alignment with international standards.

The agreement also includes the implementation of foundational and advanced training programs for Sanadak employees. These initiatives aim to enhance the capabilities of the staff in managing disputes and to bolster consumer confidence in the financial system.

Faiza Alawadhi, CEO and Managing Director of Sanadak, expressed her pride in the strategic partnership with the World Bank Group, describing it as a significant milestone. She emphasized the ongoing commitment to delivering fair, transparent, and effective dispute resolution mechanisms, while reinforcing the protection of financial consumer rights.

Ousmane Dione, Vice President for the Middle East and North Africa, Afghanistan, and Pakistan at the World Bank Group, remarked on the partnership's potential to improve financial consumer protection. Dione highlighted the importance of targeted capacity building and efficient dispute resolution to establish a fair and trusted financial system.
