Sharjah: Sharjah Art Foundation (SAF) has announced an open call for its 2025-2026 Residency Programme, welcoming applications from a diverse range of creatives, including visual artists, writers, poets, researchers, musicians, filmmakers, and performance artists, particularly those engaged in experimental and interdisciplinary practices.
According to Emirates News Agency, the Residency Programme provides a unique opportunity for selected participants to immerse themselves in Sharjah’s dynamic creative communities. Participants will have the chance to develop their work in a supportive and resource-rich environment, benefiting from the foundation’s extensive institutional networks and resources.
The programme includes several benefits such as flights and transportation to the Emirate of Sharjah, accommodation, a monthly stipend, and access to Sharjah Art Foundation’s wide array of resources. It will be hosted at Bait Obaid Al Shamsi in Arts Square and at Kalba Ice Factory in Kalba City, with the programme running from November 2025 to March 2026.
Applications for the Residency Programme are due by 30th August 2025. Interested creatives can visit sharjahart.org to submit their applications.
