Sharjah: The Sharjah Institute for Heritage (SIH) engaged in discussions on Thursday aimed at enhancing joint cooperation in the fields of culture and heritage with the Republic of Finland. The meeting, held at the Institute’s headquarters, featured Dr Abdulaziz Al Musallam, Chairman of the Institute, and Ambassador Tuula Yrj¶l¤, Ambassador of the Republic of Finland to the UAE.
According to Emirates News Agency, during the meeting, both parties explored ways to cooperate in organizing joint cultural programs and activities between Sharjah and Finland. Several practical proposals emerged to strengthen cultural relations between the two sides. Dr Abdulaziz Al Musallam highlighted Finland’s rich cultural heritage as a key factor in fortifying ties between the Emirate of Sharjah and Finland.
Ambassador Tuula Yrj¶l¤ expressed her appreciation for the visit to SIH, underscoring the meeting’s significance in bolstering cultural relations between the two countries. She emphasized Finland’s eagerness to develop cultural and heritage cooperation with Sharjah and to explore broader horizons for future partnerships.
This visit aligns with joint efforts to foster cultural dialogue and knowledge exchange between peoples, which will contribute to opening new avenues of collaboration between SIH and Finnish cultural institutions. It underscores Sharjah’s role as a bridge for cultural and civilizational communication at both regional and international levels.
