Sharjah: The Sharjah International Film Festival for Children and Youth (SIFF), organised by FANN - Sharjah Media Arts for Youth and Children, is set to make its return from October 6th to 12th. The festival promises a diverse programme featuring films by both established and emerging Arab filmmakers, aiming to bring together a global community of creatives, educators, and young audiences.
According to Emirates News Agency, Sheikha Jawaher bint Abdullah Al Qasimi, General-Director of FANN and SIFF, expressed that SIFF has evolved into a global platform that not only inspires young filmmakers but also highlights Sharjah's dedication to cultural dialogue and creative innovation. She emphasized the crucial support of strategic partners, especially Crescent Enterprises, in providing meaningful opportunities for children and youth to share their stories, explore human experiences, and connect with the wider world.
Tushar Singhvi, Deputy CEO of Crescent Enterprises, affirmed their commitment to supporting SIFF as a platform that empowers the next generation of storytellers. He stated that film serves as a universal language, connecting people across borders and perspectives. Through partnerships, the aim is to foster an environment where young people can express themselves, explore various cultures, and shape a more empathetic, connected world.
The partnership with SIFF is part of Crescent Enterprises' broader commitment to cross-cultural collaboration, which includes ongoing support for the Arabian Sights Film Festival in Washington DC, USA, now in its 11th year. These initiatives reflect the company's vision to harness education, creativity, and social responsibility, fostering inclusive and resilient communities.
