Sharjah Police Records 99.7% Sense of Safety in 2025

Sharjah: Major General Abdullah Mubarak bin Amer, Commander-in-Chief of Sharjah Police, announced that the Emirate of Sharjah has achieved a remarkable 99.7 percent safety index in 2025. This achievement is part of the Quality of Life Indicators issued by the Department of Statistics and Community Development, highlighting the success of the emirate's development initiatives.

According to Emirates News Agency, the results were revealed during the fifth meeting of the Sharjah Police's Higher Leadership Council for 2026, which included directors-general, their deputies, department heads, and other officials. Major General bin Amer emphasized that these outcomes are a testament to the comprehensive development vision of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, and the ongoing support from H.H. Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi.

The report detailed that the sense of safety during the day reached 99.8 percent, while the confidence in feeling safe at home at night was 99.7 percent. Moreover, the indicator for feeling safe when walking alone outside at night was 98.7 percent. Community satisfaction with Sharjah Police's crime-prevention efforts and confidence in their ability to combat crime both reached 99 percent, with satisfaction for support to crime victims also at 99 percent.

Traffic safety indicators showed a significant improvement, with a 16 percent reduction in road fatalities per 100,000 residents in 2025 and a 100 percent success rate in emergency responses within the target times. The meeting further reviewed the robust performance in areas such as family protection, community responsibility, and environmental initiatives, solidifying Sharjah's reputation as a leading model for security, stability, and quality of life.
