Sharjah Ruler Approves 2026 Employment Plan with 3000 Job Vacancies

Sharjah: His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, has officially approved the 2026 employment plan, which is set to create 3,000 job opportunities within government entities in the emirate.

According to Emirates News Agency, the plan outlines the recruitment of 650 new employees by June 18, 2026, along with 200 vacancies currently undergoing appointment procedures. Additionally, 650 new positions are expected to be filled by July 31, 2026. The initiative further aims to generate 1,500 new jobs between August and the end of December 2026, culminating in a total of 3,000 jobs for the year.

His Highness also sanctioned the promotion of 1,864 employees in government agencies, with an annual cost of 45 million and 500 thousand dirhams. Furthermore, the status of 125 employees who have acquired higher academic qualifications will be settled at an annual cost of up to AED 5 million.

The directive includes the implementation of the Sharjah Programme for Qualifying and Training Job Seekers. This program targets 410 citizens from July to December 2026, with total rewards amounting to 14,760,000 dirhams.
