Sharjah:His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, has issued a directive to support sports clubs across the Emirate. This initiative includes the provision of new buses and additional facilities to enhance the clubs' capabilities during the 2026-2027 sports season.
According to Emirates News Agency, the directive underscores Sheikh Al Qasimi's dedication to furnishing athletes with the resources and environment necessary for success. The initiative aims to enhance the readiness of sports clubs by providing transportation, facilities, and supporting services, thereby improving sporting performance and enabling teams to compete for titles and championships at both local and international levels.
The support encompasses 11 sports and specialist clubs throughout the Emirate. It includes the provision of new buses equipped with essential facilities for the clubs, an ambulance, and advanced facilities and equipment for athletes with disabilities. These enhancements are designed to improve the services available to athletes and support their participation in various sporting competitions.
