Paris: Sorbonne University Abu Dhabi (SUAD) and Open Innovation AI have entered into a strategic collaboration through a Memorandum of Understanding to enhance executive education, research, student learning opportunities, and academic-industry engagement in the realm of artificial intelligence.
According to Emirates News Agency, the agreement, which was signed during VivaTech 2026 in Paris, aims to facilitate a variety of initiatives between Sorbonne University Abu Dhabi and Open Innovation AI. These initiatives include the joint design and implementation of co-branded workshops, the creation of executive education programs, and the exploration of collaborative research projects and academic initiatives.
The agreement also provides for student internships and access to specific Open Innovation AI technology platforms, such as OI Chat, OICM, and GPU accelerators, for educational purposes. This partnership reflects a mutual commitment to strengthening the link between academic research and professional practice while fostering knowledge exchange and collaboration.
Professor Nathalie Martial-Braz, Chancellor of Sorbonne University Abu Dhabi, emphasized the importance of this collaboration, highlighting the need for responsible and effective use of artificial intelligence. She noted that the partnership is a commitment to bridging the gap between academia and industry, focusing on knowledge exchange and the development of executive education programs that meet industry demands.
