SpaceX Rocket Carries Astronauts to ISS for Health Research

Cape Canaveral:A SpaceX rocket launched from Florida, sending two US astronauts, a Canadian astronaut, and a Russian cosmonaut to the International Space Station (ISS) for a mission centered on human health and performance in orbit.

According to Emirates News Agency, the mission features a two-stage Falcon 9 rocket that carried an autonomously operated Crew Dragon capsule with the four-member crew. The launch took place from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station along Florida's Atlantic coast.

Upon arrival, the new crew will join the ISS's current seven occupants, including four members of Crew-12. The Crew-12 team is scheduled to return to Earth after a mission that has lasted over seven months. The new arrivals will undertake biomedical and human-performance studies, examining how microgravity impacts blood circulation and clotting while gathering health data to support future space missions.
