They explored ways to enhance cooperation within the framework of the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement, aiming to support lasting prosperity for both nations and their peoples.
According to Emirates News Agency, the conversation also addressed developments in the Middle East and their significant implications for regional and international peace and security. The discussion highlighted concerns regarding maritime security, energy supplies, and the global economy.
President Zelenskyy reaffirmed Ukraine's condemnation of the Iranian attacks targeting civilians and infrastructure in the UAE, emphasizing that these acts violate the country's sovereignty and international law, and undermine peace and security regionally and internationally.
He further expressed appreciation to His Highness Sheikh Mohamed for the UAE's ongoing mediation efforts between Ukraine and the Russian Federation regarding prisoner exchanges, underscoring the success and humanitarian importance of these initiatives.
