Abu dhabi: The United Arab Emirates has strongly condemned the Israeli military actions in the Syrian governorates of Quneitra and Daraa, which include territorial incursions and artillery shelling. The UAE has reaffirmed its rejection of any actions that infringe on the sovereignty of the Syrian Arab Republic or pose threats to its security and stability.
According to Emirates News Agency, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) issued a statement highlighting that Israel's incursions represent a clear violation of international law and the 1974 Disengagement Agreement between Syria and Israel, which Israel is obliged to honor.
The Ministry reiterated the UAE's steadfast support for Syria's stability and territorial integrity. It emphasized its solidarity with the Syrian people and its backing for all efforts aimed at realizing their aspirations for security, peace, dignity, peaceful coexistence, and development.
The UAE has urged the international community to take immediate measures to stop the recurring attacks on Syrian land and to curb any escalation that could increase regional tensions and threaten both regional and international peace and security.
