UAE Engages in Bicentenary Event of 1826 Amphictyonic Congress of Panama

Abu dhabi: On behalf of H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Noura bint Mohammed Al Kaabi, Minister of State, and Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, Minister of Foreign Trade, represented the UAE at the Global Leaders Forum in Panama City. The event marked the 200th anniversary of the 1826 Amphictyonic Congress of Panama.

According to Emirates News Agency, during the forum, Noura Al Kaabi and Dr. Thani Al Zeyoudi engaged with key officials, including Javier Mart­nez-Acha, Minister of Foreign Affairs; Juan Carlos Navarro, Minister of Environment; Jorge Herrera, President of the National Assembly; and Adolfo F¡brega, Director-General of the National Authority for Government Innovation.

Noura Al Kaabi reiterated the UAE's dedication to strengthening bilateral relations with Panama. This year marks the 33rd anniversary since the establishment of diplomatic ties between the two nations on March 9, 1993. She emphasized the ongoing development in various sectors and the agreements that have bolstered cooperation frameworks.

Al Kaabi noted that the Global Leaders Forum, commemorating the bicentenary of the Amphictyonic Congress, underscores the significance of multilateral collaboration for a safer and more prosperous future. She highlighted the UAE's commitment to enhancing international cooperation and fostering dialogue, which are crucial for global peace and security.

Al Kaabi concluded by emphasizing that international collaboration is vital in addressing global challenges and fostering a stable future. She stated, "We are stronger when we are united."
