UAE President and Ethiopian Prime Minister Discuss Regional Security Amid Escalating Tensions

Abu dhabi: UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan received a phone call today from Ethiopian Prime Minister Dr Abiy Ahmed, discussing developments in the region amid military escalation and its serious repercussions for regional and international security and stability.

According to Emirates News Agency, Prime Minister Dr Ahmed condemned the Iranian attacks targeting the UAE and other countries in the region, identifying them as violations of sovereignty and international law. He expressed Ethiopia's support for the UAE's efforts to protect its security, territory, and citizens.

Both leaders emphasized the importance of an immediate cessation of hostilities and advocated for serious dialogue and diplomacy to address regional issues. Their discussions focused on preventing further security tensions and maintaining regional stability.

Additionally, Sheikh Mohamed extended his condolences to Prime Minister Ahmed and the Ethiopian people for the victims of recent floods and landslides caused by heavy rains, reaffirming the UAE's solidarity with Ethiopia during these challenging times.
