New York:US stocks closed slightly lower on Tuesday, retreating from the record highs achieved last week. The Nasdaq Composite was particularly affected by ongoing losses in semiconductor shares.
According to Emirates News Agency, the S&P 500 saw a marginal decrease of 0.02%, closing at 7,805.45 points, distancing itself from the previous week's all-time high.
The Nasdaq Composite experienced a fall of 0.15%, closing at 27,204.38 points. Meanwhile, the Dow Jones Industrial Average dropped by 0.35%, ending the day at 51,670.10 points.
