Abdulla Al Hamed Inaugurates UAE Media Council Office in Dubai Internet City

Dubai: Abdulla bin Mohammed bin Butti Al Hamed, Chairman of the National Media Office and Chairman of the UAE Media Council, has inaugurated the Council's new headquarters in Dubai Internet City. This development is part of the Council's strategy to create a dynamic and efficient working environment that encourages national talent, attracts international expertise, and stays abreast of the fast-evolving media sector.

According to Emirates News Agency, the inauguration event saw the attendance of key figures including Mohammed Saeed Al Shehhi, Secretary-General of the UAE Media Council; Maitha Majed Al Suwaidi, Executive Director of the Media Strategy and Policy Sector; Abdulla Belhoul, CEO of TECOM Group; Majed Al Suwaidi, Managing Director of Dubai Media City; and Ammar Al Malik, Executive Vice President of Commercial Leasing at TECOM Group.

Abdulla Al Hamed conducted a tour of the new facility, strategically located in a globally recognized media hub. The new headquarters is set to improve the Council's capability to form effective partnerships with major institutions and strengthen its role in forecasting and shaping the future of media with enhanced efficiency.

The facility is a testament to the Council's dedication to refining its institutional structure in alignment with its strategic goals. During a meeting with the Council's staff, Al Hamed emphasized that the new headquarters represents the Council's ambition to establish a forward-thinking regulatory environment. This environment is designed to nurture national talent, encourage creativity, and place human resources at the core of media development.

Al Hamed highlighted the necessity of sustaining the progress made since the Council's establishment and urged for increased efforts in the upcoming phase. This includes the implementation of media policies and initiatives that align with the new media framework, featuring integrated legislation and services aimed at enhancing sector competitiveness, driving growth, and creating opportunities for local content and emerging media ventures.
