New york: H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, hosted a formal reception on the sidelines of the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA80) in New York. The event was held at the UAE's mission headquarters to the UN.
According to Emirates News Agency, the reception was attended by a number of heads of state and government, foreign ministers from Gulf, Arab, and foreign countries, senior officials from international organisations, and members of the UAE's official delegation to the UNGA.
During the reception, Sheikh Abdullah welcomed the guests and affirmed the UAE's commitment to fostering positive and constructive international partnerships. He emphasized that such partnerships are crucial for supporting sustainable development and enabling people to live in peace, stability, and tolerance.
Sheikh Abdullah highlighted the significance of collective international action, noting that multilateral cooperation is crucial not only in addressing current challenges but also in shaping the future. This involves investing in people, supporting innovation, promoting inclusivity, and upholding the values of justice, peace, and coexistence.
Sheikh Abdullah extended his wishes for success and constructive discussions to all participants of the 80th UN General Assembly.
