AED843 Million Pension Payments Set for Distribution Today by GPSSA

Abu dhabi: A total amount of AED843.2 million in pension payments is set to be distributed today, Friday, 26th September 2025, announced the General Pension and Social Security Authority (GPSSA).

According to Emirates News Agency, the disbursed pension payments will be allocated to pensioners with regular employment years, individuals who have retired due to health-related reasons, and beneficiaries entitled to receive a share of the pension following the death of a pensioner or an insured member.

The periodic distribution of these payments aligns with GPSSA's commitment to bolstering the social stability of Emirati families. This initiative emphasizes the protection of individuals unable to care for themselves due to illness, disability, or old age, with the overarching aim of enhancing the quality of life for community members who either directly benefit from the disbursement or are periodically impacted by it.

The pension payments for September 2025 reflect a significant increase of AED32.5 million compared to September 2024, when the pension value reached AED810.7 million. This increase benefited 49,668 pensioners and beneficiaries, marking an evident rise of 933 customers compared to the same month last year, which saw a total of 48,735 pensioners and beneficiaries. This underscores the expanding support provided by the GPSSA to a growing number of individuals.

The distributed pension payments cover all those under GPSSA's purview, as well as customers whose files are managed by GPSSA on behalf of the Ministry of Finance. This is in accordance with applicable pension laws and within a framework of governmental cooperation designed to enhance the efficiency of providing pension benefits.
