DJI Launches 15th Cohort of ‘Judicial and Legal Studies for Public Prosecution Members’ Training Programme

Dubai: The Dubai Judicial Institute (DJI) has initiated the 15th cohort of its prominent training programme, 'Judicial and Legal Studies for Public Prosecution Members.' This programme aims to develop national talent and enhance the readiness of judicial authority members, aligning with the highest professional and academic standards.

According to Emirates News Agency, the programme also aligns with ongoing efforts to keep pace with emerging developments in criminal investigations and judicial practice. The launch ceremony was attended by Counsellor Essam Issa Al Humaidan, Attorney-General of Dubai and Chairman of the Board of the Dubai Judicial Institute; Judge Dr. Ebtessam Ali Al Badwawi, Director-General of Dubai Judicial Institute; and several leaders from the Public Prosecution.

The latest cohort aims to qualify 22 Emirati trainees nominated to join the Public Prosecution through a comprehensive training framework that integrates legal qualification, judicial knowledge, and practical application. This training is designed to equip professionals with the necessary competencies, skills, and professional readiness to perform their duties efficiently.

Counsellor Essam Issa Al Humaidan highlighted the importance of accredited training programmes in preparing Public Prosecution members. He emphasized that such initiatives broaden their legal and judicial knowledge, advance their expertise, and enhance their ability to undertake judicial responsibilities confidently. Al Humaidan also stressed the vision of wise leadership to empower national talent and consolidate Dubai's position as a model for judicial excellence and the rule of law.

Judge Dr. Ebtessam Ali Al Badwawi reiterated DJI's commitment to enhancing specialised qualification programmes. She emphasized that the programme is a strategic investment in the future of justice, aligning with Dubai's ambition for a globally leading judicial ecosystem. The programme is delivered over six months, comprising 450 training hours, equivalent to 30 accredited credit hours under the National Qualifications Framework (NQF).

Coinciding with the launch of the new cohort, DJI honoured the trainers of the 14th cohort under the theme 'Pioneers of Training Excellence: A Lasting Impact.' This recognition was for their dedication and significant contributions to preparing and qualifying Public Prosecution members. Through its accredited programmes, DJI continues to reinforce its position as a leading judicial training institution, supporting the development of highly qualified judicial and legal professionals.
