Dubai: Dubai Chamber of Commerce, one of the three chambers under Dubai Chambers, has organised 35 meetings with Business Groups and Business Councils to align efforts with current economic conditions, assess sector needs, and explore strategies to support companies and enhance competitiveness.
According to Emirates News Agency, the meetings are part of a series of engagements aimed at discussing the current business landscape, its outlook, and ways to bolster the readiness of economic sectors to adapt to global developments. This initiative seeks to support sustainable business growth, improve operational efficiency, and reinforce Dubai's position as a global hub for trade and investment.
Participants in these meetings, representing various Business Groups and Councils, expressed strong confidence in Dubai's economic resilience and the emirate's capability to successfully navigate global changes. They lauded the government's continuous efforts to create new growth opportunities and strengthen the business community's competitiveness amid evolving circumstances.
The meetings also underscored the robust partnership between the public and private sectors in enhancing the emirate's economic ecosystem, improving the attractiveness of the business environment, and boosting private sector efficiency. Mohammad Ali Rashed Lootah, President and CEO of Dubai Chambers, emphasized the critical role of this partnership in ensuring sustainable economic growth and enhancing global competitiveness.
Lootah affirmed Dubai Chambers' commitment to collaborating with the private sector to enhance the business ecosystem's resilience, address challenges facing companies, and support the long-term growth and competitiveness of the national economy, in line with the Dubai Economic Agenda (D33).
The meetings included discussions with Business Councils from countries such as the USA, Netherlands, UK, Turkey, Greece, South Africa, Pakistan, India, China, and the Philippines. Additionally, the chamber engaged with Business Groups from sectors like real estate, construction, retail, hospitality, logistics, education, and manufacturing, among others.
Dubai Chamber of Commerce reiterated that supporting the business community's interests remains a key priority, as it works to strengthen private sector participation and enhance Dubai's economic competitiveness. Business Groups and Business Councils are essential in representing sector interests, facilitating dialogue with government entities, and contributing to sustainable economic growth efforts.
