Dubai:The Dubai Content Creators Programme has concluded its tourism and economy edition with participants showcasing Dubai's landmarks and tourist attractions through innovative digital storytelling. Organized by the Dubai Press Club (DPC) in partnership with the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism (DET), the two-week initiative aimed to enhance skills in tourism and economic content creation using modern digital tools.
According to Emirates News Agency, the final projects were presented under the theme 'Choose a Dubai Landmark and Tell Its Story Your Way,' featuring original content that highlighted Dubai's unique landmarks and destinations. Participants were tasked with creating short videos for platforms like Instagram and TikTok, longer videos for YouTube, or documentary-style features, allowing them freedom in how they told their stories.
The programme allowed participants to apply skills acquired, including concept development, scriptwriting, storytelling, filming, lighting, and editing. Projects were assessed on criteria such as clarity, originality, storytelling quality, and effective use of digital platforms.
Wedad Kahoor, Section Head of Media Talent Development at the Dubai Press Club, noted that the final projects provided an opportunity to evaluate the programme's outcomes and participants' abilities in tourism content creation. She emphasized the programme's focus on blending theoretical learning with practical experience to produce engaging digital content that showcases Dubai's tourism offerings.
The initiative reflects the Dubai Press Club's commitment to fostering credible digital content creation that highlights Dubai's landmarks and diverse tourism experiences for both local and international audiences.
